My name is Camilo Martinez Finlay. Born 8 September 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden , but Cuban in body and soul.

I studied graphic design, which accounts for my love for art, especially painting post impressionism, Renaissance covering the period of European art history between the art of the Middle Ages and the Baroque.

An interesting information is that the painting of this period is related to the "rebirth " of classical antiquity, the impact of humanism on artists and their patrons, new sensibilities and artistic techniques and, in general, the transition between the medieval period and the beginning of the Modern Age.

Among my favorites are :

Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael , Michelangelo, Vincent van Gogh , Claude Oscar Monet, Édouard Manet , Edgar Degas , Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir , Alfred Sisley and Camille Pissarro , Paul Gauguin , Sandro Botticelli, Adriaen Isenbrandt and Ambrosius Benson, Quentin Metsys Bernard van Orley and Jan Gossaert... and many others .

After a car accident in 2000, which resulted in a paraplegia due to a fracture in the spinal cord , I decided to rent several rooms of my house , for several purposes:

1) Meet new friends and learn from them and see life from different perspectives.

2 ) Raise money to give a contribution to the medical center for spinal cord research.

3 ) Raising money for my basic needs.

My legs do not hold today , someday they will again, luckily I have my wheelchair which helps me move from one place to another , and so living , learning , loving , laughing and crying in this world are the reasons to keep on living unforgettable moments.

My life runs along the fields enjoying freedom, my eyes walking down your face looking for a smile, and my brain beats any track-and-field champion enjoying the fact of being alive and able to appreciate so many things ... and especially to see the love of my life grow, my son Marcos... and taking another step , my imagination flies everywhere on earth.

I hope you decide to visit and meet Havana and its charm. If that happens, do not hesitate to email me with your concerns at the following web address:
